Choro das Tresis a vibrant and virtuosic instrumental ensemble comprised of three sisters and their father who carry on the rich tradition of Brazil’s first popular music, choro. The beauty and precision with which they play every note is something you see only in musicians who truly understand and love their craft with every piece of their heart. You can see the raw passion, the warmth of family, and the commitment to preserving a treasured musical tradition. They have recorded five albums since 2008 and performed in concerts and conducted workshops all over Brazil, the United States, Mexico and France. For Ashkenaz 2018, the group will pay tribute to Brazilian-Jewish mandolin master, Jacob do Bandolim, on the 100thanniversary of his birth.
