Zev Feldman Trio New York/Montreal

Monday September 5, 1pm
Brigantine Room, Harbourfront Centre

The Zev Feldman Trio is a neo-traditionalist ensemble that performs Klezmer music in the small group style of 19th century Europe, while featuring the Jewish tsimbl (hammered dulcimer). Led by one of the founders of the Klezmer Revival, backed by musicians of the contemporary generation, the group’s repertoire includes explorations of Hassidishe nigunim, as well as suites of dance music, and a selection of non-dance “listening” music drawn from the European klezmer repertoire. Featuring Walter Zev Feldman, Zilien Biret and Christina Crowder.
