“YidLife Crisis” is a Yiddish comedy web series and evolving Jewish cultural brand created by Eli Batalion and Jamie Elman, two friends aspiring to pay homage to the yiddishkayt and the Jewish comedic lens on life with which they were raised. This smash hit web series, performed in Yiddish with English subtitles, has been viewed by over three million people and has spawned various spin-off projects celebrating the revival of Yiddish language and culture in contemporary life.  Through humour and absurdity, the duo presents critical questions about Jewish identity in the 21st century and the place of Yiddishkayt in that identity. In their latest opus, “Narishkayt”, the duo bring their stand-up show to Krakow, Poland. The journey becomes an opportunity for them to examine the state of Jewish community and identity in a historic European city experiencing a great revival of Yiddish and Jewish consciousness.
