We are pleased to partner with Aga Khan Museum to welcome back to Toronto one of Israel’s most exciting ensembles, with a brand new program. At once uproarious and deeply spiritual, Yemen Blues fuses Afrofunk groove and Yemenite Jewish culture in a unique and explosive brew that has garnered world-wide acclaim. Magnetic frontman Ravid Kahalani leads the nine-piece ensemble in their latest tour de force, “Hallel (הלל), inspired by Psalms 113 to 118.

This co-production is part of Age Khan Museum’s 2019/20 Performing Arts season theme, Listening to Each Other, which celebrates the role of the performative arts in connecting communities, preserving culture, and spurring social change.
